I sometimes mention a truly great lady, Kim, that I met in San Diego. She offers one of the best challenges to help anyone put things in perspective:

“Pretend, just for a moment that I gave you $1,000,000 tax free! How do you think you would think and act! Now pretend you are sitting in the doctor’s office and the doctor tells you you have only two weeks to live. There is a cure in South America, but it costs $1,000,000 and no insurance will cover it.”

The doctor tells you he is sorry but is surprised to hear you say, “Doc, I have the money. Take it now, please, and let’s get on with the cure.”

So, in a matter of seconds all the joy and possibilities of $1,000,000 means nothing.

And then Kim asked: “If you can admit to yourself that just waking up tomorrow is worth more than $1,000,000, why don’t you wake up every day with the the same joy and anticipation you had when you thought you had $1,000,000.”

EVERY DAY YOU HAVE YOUR HEALTH IS WORTH MORE THAN $1,000,000, ISN’T IT?

We are so close to launching our new www.automaticdirectmail.com program but have been delayed by problems with our new, more secure payment gateway. Tonight we finally resolved the issue; turns out the representative for the payment firm entered improper info in the beginning. Now we are up and running.

 SO WHAT’S NEXT? Well, we have a couple of fairly minor issues but the main one is our first test. As always, I will put my money and time into it with a test mailing. Should go out next week so we can test the processes under fire and then, if all goes well, we will open it up.

After a week on the road we expected to be busy but we haven’t stopped to take a deep breath since we arrived home.

 The good news was a Happy Truck delivery was waiting for us, and we had several calls from prospective Happy Truck friends; always a pleasure.

 Then we reviewed some of the 100’s of suggestions for a catchy phrase to accompany our new program (details in our daily emails.). Amazingly good stuff that we will review and will announce the winner later this week. (Details about the program at www.lazywealth.biz)

 Then we had a great message from LazyWealth friend Peter who just returned from a meeting with Greg McKnight of Legisi (This is a fund that is no longer open to the public.). We’ll give a full review on a regular email but, for now, just say that Peter was impressed that Greg spent five hours in the meeting, opened his books, explained all the details and left each member very hopeful for good news in coming weeks. A major thanks to Peter for taking the time to travel for the meeting.

and another day of getting closer to the launch of our new program but, in the meantime, some thoughts on current issues:

1. Yesterday’s subscriber email on the Los Angeles Times “discovery” drew a huge response with many of you saying you were happy to see it and that it reminded you of the importance of followup. Everyone who knows us knows we firmly believe our emails are the key to making great money without working hard. We have never been willing to use the old sales theory that says you should talk to “everyone in the world because someone will eventually buy.” Our thinking is that we will talk to a few but do business with a high percentage of them. The results prove our theory works well. Our regular email subscribers get the benefit of the inside information behind this so don’t forget to request your subscription (info@lazywealth.com, Subscription) so we can give you the best inside information ever.

 2. Along the lines of customer service, AMC send an email today highlighting the importance of sending the regular followups to your prospects. Since AMC only takes about 30 minutes a month and since they handle all phone calls and customer service, it is not too difficult to send followup letters once a month. We averaged two enrollments per month from our followups! When you are part of a program this simple it pays to take an extra 30 minutes!

3. Post card mailings are still producing and still sometimes leaving you frustrated. The mailing lists are of people who have not just expressed an interest in a home business but have purchased information more than one time. The list are carefully assembled and have historically done real well but mail is, like other marketing, a moving target that we approach scientifically but can’t always guarantee the results. In the long run your marketing should include both direct mail and print and, for those of you who are smarter than us, internet marketing! More about this in our regular emails.

 4. One nice thing about being here in Florida is that spring training is coming soon so there’s excitement in the air. It is also cooler now than it will be in a few months. Florida’s highways are in great shape overall so driving is fun. My son and I will have a day of exploring tomorrow, one of the nice things about making a living without a “real” job!

 So much going on right now as we tie all the pieces together to hit our next growth phase running.

Bear with me … All the security issues we have put in, all the cost and time to design software, and all the coordination with the mailing house and lots of other stuff will be worth it. I’ll have a complete update near the end of this coming week.

Super good week for the Happy Truck program with so many of you gaining confidence and enjoying deliveries to your front door. The mailings should be back on track, timewise, and we are working super hard to enhance the quality, so it is all good. And, by the way, we’ll have an interesting Happy Truck message along with a fun request during the week.

Now that the Super Bowl is over, the endless commercials watched, and we have had a full day to recuperate, we can look forward to all the good ahead of us.
